Hailing from New Jersey, the same breeding grounds that spawned acts such as Overkill and Symphony X, Dark Empire are ready to unleash another masterpiece of heavy metal on the world with the release of their sophomore album, HUMANITY DETHRONED. Spearheaded by lead guitarist and songwriter Matt Moliti, Dark Empire play a blend of thrash infused progressive metal, combining the attitude and aggression of the former with the technical proficiency and strong melodic sense of the latter into a sound that is unmistakably their own.

My booker tells me I have a special caller for the show and of course I had no clue who was ringing in. So I get the phone call 30 mins early because of time differences from their tour. I figured out after he said his name yes I was a bit surprised and knew who they were. So yes surprise! But the station wanted to catch it live and hear my expressions on air. Didn't happen nice try guys! So train wreck it may seem it ended up being a very entertaining interview with Oderus and Sleazy P. Martini of Gwar!
